Autumn Plantings | In pictures
Planting for the Meditation Garden began in mid-September. Close to one thousand plants of over forty different varieties will adorn the natural area behind the Institute. In some zones of the garden, newly seeded grass is already beginning to sprout. Albizia julibrissin, ginkgo biloba, liquidambar, golden maple, and paulownia tomentosa are among the tree species that will make their home in this calm and contemplative place. They are already giving the place a shimmering, autumnal touch. We are enjoying a mild autumn, and volunteers are getting their hands dirty, reveling in the joys of team gardening, and relaxing on the colored concrete pebble seats during lighthearted or meditative breaks in activity. Listen…you can hear the plants grow!
We will keep you informed of the advancement of construction. Don’t hestitate to sign up for Dhagpo’s newsletter to receive the latest news in words, photo, and video.
