While Sukhavati Garden was still being built, Lama Jigme Rinpoche expressed the wish that Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, carry out the final consecration<\/strong>. Jigme Rinpoche has explained on numerous occasions that the blessing of the Karmapas and Shamarpas is immensely effective, and he always encourages receiving empowerments from Karmapa when it is possible. Thus, although Jigme Rinpoche had begun an initial consecration of the Garden<\/a>, naturally, he addressed a request to Karmapa to seal the lineage\u2019s blessing of this open air temple.<\/span><\/p>\n Thus, on August 14, 2023,<\/strong> Karmapa guided the ceremonies of Sukhavati Garden\u2019s final consecration from a dais installed for this purpose. The Garden shone with reflections of gold for the occasion.
